Rayden Book Club celebrated the art of Shayari on 23 Nov, 2023, by organizing ‘Mehfil-e-Shayari’ – an evening filled with poetry and the celebration of words. Decked up in their finest kurtas and sherwanis, 230 Raydenites attended the session online and transformed the Zoom meeting into a poetic paradise.
From the timeless verses of Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Mirza Ghalib to the contemporary magic of Gulzar, the evening was filled with poetry from a plethora of artists. And it didn’t stop there! Our very own Raydenites also took the stage and stole the spotlight with their original shayaris and poems. The cherry on top was our special guest, Saad Ahmed, the co-founder of Baithak and Beyond, a Pune-based poetry community, who joined us and sprinkled his poetic charm over the virtual Mehfil.
The event ended on a high note, with an after-party at the Pune office, proving yet again that Rayden knows how to seamlessly blend the virtual and the real.
From the rhythmic beats of Shayari to the clinking laughters at our after-party, it was a night to remember and one we would all like to relive soon.
