“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.” — Steve Jobs
Back in 2021, Shilpa embarked on her professional journey by joining Rayden’s Market Research team. As time went on, she quickly learned the ropes of her new role. Yet, beneath the surface, a sense of restlessness began to stir within her. A few months into her role, Shilpa started to feel a growing need to shift gears and explore a different path—one that might resonate more with her true calling.
She raised this concern during a conversation with Mooshir, our CEO, and Mehek, our COO. Shilpa half-expected to be advised to persevere and make the current role work. However, their response surprised and heartened her. Rather than dismissing her concerns, they listened attentively, acknowledging her feelings. They presented her with an entirely new, intriguing proposition—to transition from the Market Research team to the HR department and spearhead the creation of Rayden’s onboarding strategy from the ground up.
She had nine months to work on the structure. From removing various roadblocks, connecting with Managers from all teams, to creating a plotter and setting it up, she did it all. She feels proud to see how the process has evolved over time. Shilpa did not stop at that. After the successful implementation of the on-boarding strategy, she joined the Learning and Development team as a Senior Analyst. Having trained about 900 employees in 31 different topics, over 80+ sessions along with her team, Shilpa is finding her place as she continues to make a profound impact on our organization’s growth and development.
“I am grateful that people at Rayden have an open mindset. Organizations don’t usually allow lateral movement this easily – they will often force you to learn skills for a job you have originally been assigned. But it was different at Rayden. They heard me, addressed my concerns and helped me find my place within the organization. And I think the best way to show support to your team members is by trusting them and creating possibilities for them to find their special place.”
